Welcome to KolWrite accessible via https://www.kolwrite.com/ (together with its subdomains, Materials, Marks, features and services, the "Websites") or through our KolWrite applications, extensions and plug-ins for supported mobile, desktop, wearable and web platforms (together, the "App"; the Websites and the App collectively, "KolWrite" or the "Service"). Please read the following Terms of Use carefully before using the Service so that you are aware of your legal rights and obligations with respect to ITANU STUDIOS LTD ("ITANU", the "Company", "we", "our" or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, whether via the Websites, the App, or through any technical integration, such as an application programming interface (API), system integration, embedding, or other technical means ("Integrated Access"), you expressly acknowledge and agree that you are entering a legal agreement with us and have understood and agree to comply with, and be legally bound by, these Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Terms"). To the maximum extent permitted by law, you hereby waive any applicable rights to require an original (non-electronic) signature or delivery or retention of non-electronic records. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms please do not access or use KolWrite. If there is a conflict between the Terms and any other agreements between the Parties, the terms and conditions of this Terms shall prevail and govern.
1. Background
KolWrite is an advanced artificial intelligence ("AI") powered solution. KolWrite allows users to submit audio, video, and other materials (collectively referred to as "Input"), which can then be processed to generate text, images, sessions, or other outputs (collectively referred to as "Output") (Together, "Input" and "Output" are referred to as "Content"). The Service is designed to provide a comprehensive solution for multilingual transcription, content summarization, and interactive conversation management. It enables users to generate accurate, efficient, and high-quality results in multiple languages, adapting to diverse needs. KolWrite is a unique platform aimed at revolutionizing communication and transcription, ensuring an enhanced experience for users in the modern age.
2. Modification
We may modify or update these Terms from time to time, and we publish each version with its effective date. If we make material changes, we will tell you through the Service or by email before they apply to you, and we will ask you to accept the updated Terms before you continue using your Account. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service, cancel any subscription and delete your Account.
3. Ability to Accept Terms
You must be at least thirteen (13) years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use the Service if it is higher, to use the Service. If you are under eighteen (18) years old, or under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission of your parent or legal guardian, who must read and agree to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you meet these requirements. Some features may not be available depending on your age or location. We reserve the right to suspend access to the Service to any person in breach of this Section.
4. User obligations
The Company aims to ensure that KolWrite is managed properly and appropriately serving its purpose in the best way. As a user, you must comply with all applicable laws, including privacy and data protection regulations, intellectual property laws, and anti-spam laws. You are prohibited from engaging in the following actions: (a) using the Service for illegal, immoral, or malicious purposes, or in ways that contradict the terms of use, including fraud or pyramid scheme or for any purpose not explicitly authorized in this Agreement; (b) misrepresenting your identity, age, or connections with any person or organization; (c) engaging in harassment, bullying, stalking, assault, intimidation, or any behavior causing harm or psychological distress; (d) providing false information within the Service; (f) sharing information about others without their explicit consent or authority, or disclosing proprietary information you are not authorized to share; (g) revealing identifying details about individuals without appropriate approval; (h) infringing on copyrights, trademarks, or any proprietary rights owned by the Company; (i) interfering with the operation of the Service; (j) reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to decipher the Service source code; (k) copying, duplicating, distributing, or publishing any part of the Service, including its content, without the Company's prior written consent; (l) using automated means, such as robots or scripts, to access the Service or collect information; (m) using another user's account; (n) integrating third-party applications that interact with our Service without written consent, including AI or machine learning systems, other than through integrations that the Service offers; (o) attempting to bypass security measures or technical restrictions implemented by the Company, or (p) sharing, distributing, publishing or otherwise making available any Output generated by the Service to the public or to third parties without the Company's prior written consent unless explicitly permitted by these Terms or a separate binding agreement. The Company reserves the right to block or cancel user access to the Service at its sole discretion, especially if users violate the terms of use, without limiting or derogating from any other remedies.
Furthermore, you are prohibited from uploading or sharing content that: (a) is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or promotes racism, sexism, hatred, or bigotry; (b) is offensive or intended to harass, abuse, or cause psychological distress; (c) encourages or facilitates illegal activities, including terrorism or inciting racial hatred; (d) is obscene, pornographic, violent, or contains nudity; (e) facilitates spam transmission; (f) infringes on third-party rights, including intellectual property and privacy; (g) includes details, images, or likenesses of others without consent, or in the case of minors, without parental or guardian consent; and/or (h) may harm the reputation of the Company or its affiliates, including defamatory content or content advocating misuse of the Service.
AI features. The Service's AI features, including its assistant, are AI systems, not people. They use AI models from the providers described in the Privacy Policy. You must not use them in breach of the usage policies those providers publish, and you must not present Output as human-made in order to mislead anyone. Do not rely on Output for legal, medical, financial or other professional decisions without review by a qualified professional. Some AI features, such as Max, are not available in every country. We may restrict or suspend your use of the AI features if you breach this Section.
Open-source software. The Service includes third-party open-source software, including media libraries licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License. The components included in each version of the Service, the applicable license versions and the third-party copyright holders are identified in the open-source license materials supplied with the Service, which you can read at any time under Settings, Help, Licenses. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms, third-party open-source software included with the Service is governed by its applicable open-source licenses. To the extent those licenses require, these Terms do not restrict modification of the combined work for your own use, reverse engineering to debug such modifications, or the use, copying, modification, replacement, or redistribution of that open-source software, and the Company will supply the corresponding source code for those components as those licenses require. Nothing in this paragraph transfers ownership of the Company's proprietary software or grants any right in it.
5. Commercial Use and Commercial Users
5.1 Definitions
"Commercial Use" means any use of the Service or any Output that involves sharing, distributing, publishing, or otherwise making the Output available to third parties, whether directly or indirectly, in any form or channel. This includes use in any business, professional, organizational, marketing, media, public-facing, or client-facing context. Any such use - or any use that, in the sole discretion of the Company, may reasonably be considered to constitute Commercial Use - is subject to the terms of this Section.
"Commercial User" means any user who has selected a Commercial Use plan, paid the applicable fees, and received confirmation from the Company authorizing such use, or any user accessing the Service through Integrated Access pursuant to a separate written agreement with the Company.
5.2 Authorized Commercial Users
Commercial Users may engage in Commercial Use of the Service or any Output, subject to these Terms and to any applicable limitations and conditions communicated by the Company, including attribution requirements. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all Commercial Use must include clear attribution in the form of: "Transcribed by KolWrite©️". KolWrite may provide specific guidelines regarding the placement and formatting of such attribution.
5.3 Unauthorized Commercial Use
Without derogating from the restrictions set forth in Section 4, any Commercial Use, or any use which may reasonably be considered to have a commercial or distributive character, is strictly prohibited unless one of the following applies:
(a) the user has selected a Commercial User plan and paid the applicable fees;
(b) the user has entered into a separate written agreement with the Company; or
(c) the user has received prior written approval from the Company.
The Company reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether a particular use qualifies as Commercial Use and/or requires prior approval.
6. Providing information
You confirm that all information, data, and documents you provide within the service are complete and accurate, relevant and do not include identifying details about any other person without their consent or appropriate authorization. You are not legally obliged to provide us with personal information by any law. Any personal information you provide to us, directly or indirectly through the Service, is governed by our Privacy Policy.
In order to use some of the services of KolWrite, you may have to create an account ("Account"). You agree not to create an Account for anyone else or use the account of another person without their permission. When creating your Account, you must provide lawful, accurate and complete information. You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs in your Account, and you must keep your Account password secure. You must notify the Company immediately of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your Account. As between you and the Company, you are solely responsible and liable for the activity that occurs in connection with your Account. If you wish to delete your Account you may send an email request to the Company at [email protected], or use the in-app account deletion option available in the app's Security settings.
Shared ITANU account. Your Account is a single ITANU account that is shared across the Company's products, including KolWrite and KolHive OS (available at https://kolhive.com/). Signing in to either product uses the same credentials, and content, files, preferences, and settings you store with the Service may be synchronized and made available to you across both products. Your use of KolHive OS is additionally governed by the KolHive Terms of Service and Privacy Policy available at https://kolhive.com/terms and https://kolhive.com/privacy. Deleting your Account deletes this shared account and affects your access to both products.
*For your information, personal information or "information" as defined in the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 1981 and in general, is information that refers to an identified person or a person who can be identified. For example: Data about a person's personality, personal status, intimate details about him and about his life, health status, economic situation, professional training, opinions, and beliefs.
You are responsible for the information and content you provide. Share only what you are comfortable, ensuring it does not violate this Agreement or create legal risks for you or us. By uploading, you confirm you have the necessary rights and licenses and grant us a license to use your content as detailed below. We may monitor or review your content and information and reserve the right to remove, edit, or restrict access at our discretion.
7. Fees
7.1 Services
Our Service includes free-of-charge services, one-time payment services, and subscription-based services (including but not limited to Commercial Users). To the fullest extent permitted by law, and unless otherwise stated herein, all fees are non-refundable. You must provide and update your payment and contact information as needed for any purchased services. Failure to update your payment information may prevent us from processing payments or issuing refunds. We are not liable for any losses, non-delivery of funds, or non-delivery of documents or information due to your failure to provide, store, and update your payment and contact information.
7.2 Payments
We will charge your designated payment method immediately upon purchase. Subscription-based services are set to automatically renew by default to prevent service interruption. We charge each renewal, including applicable taxes, at the start of the new billing period, unless you cancel your subscription before then. You can cancel a subscription paid through PayPal at any time in your PayPal account or by writing to us at [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, unless the law gives you an earlier cancellation or a refund (see section 7.8). If we cannot process your payment on time, we may not continue providing paid services. If services continue, we reserve the right to charge you for the services, renewals, and any associated late payment costs. It is your responsibility to keep your payment method information accurate and current. We are not responsible for any service cancellations or loss of related products.
Purchases through an app store. If you purchase a subscription through Apple or Google Play, the store manages billing and renewal timing. Manage or cancel that subscription in the subscription settings of the account used for the purchase. The store's applicable billing, cancellation and refund rules apply to those transactions. Contacting us does not itself cancel a store-managed subscription. Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, withdrawal, refund or other consumer right that applicable law requires us or the store to provide.
7.3 Taxes
Applicable taxes are calculated and shown before purchase. Prices may be stated before taxes where they are clearly identified as net prices, and the final payable total will include taxes that the Company is required to collect. For eligible Israeli API Console billing accounts, applicable VAT is added to the net purchase price and shown separately before payment. The customer is responsible for taxes that the Company is not legally required to collect or remit. Any legally required tax document will identify the actual payment currency and will be issued using the billing information provided by the customer.
7.4 API Console Usage Credits
The API Console may meter API usage in usage units called "Usage credits". Usage credits are service usage units used to calculate access to API services. They are not legal tender, stored monetary value, gift cards, deposit accounts, or cash balances, and may not be withdrawn, transferred, resold, or exchanged for cash, except where expressly required by applicable law or stated by the Company in writing.
Unless otherwise stated in the API Console or applicable order terms, 1 Usage credit is the API billing unit previously displayed as US$1.00 in the API Console. API usage is deducted from your Usage credit balance according to the model, add-on, and processing rates published in the API Console or API documentation, and may be calculated per second or by another metering method disclosed at the time of use. Unless a promotion or customer-specific agreement says otherwise, eligible Israeli billing accounts may purchase Usage credits at a net price of ILS 3.60 per Usage credit before VAT, while other accounts purchase at US$1.20 per Usage credit. Checkout will show the number of Usage credits, net amount, applicable taxes, and final payment total before purchase. Checkout, receipts, tax documents, refunds, and payment disputes are handled in the actual payment currency used for purchase. "ILS" is the canonical currency code; "NIS" may be used as an explanatory name for the same currency.
Purchased Usage credits do not expire unless a different expiration policy is clearly disclosed before purchase and is permitted by applicable law. See section 7.7 for the validity period that applies to AI credit top-ups purchased on or after the effective date of these Terms. Promotional, trial, bonus, or manually granted Usage credits may have additional restrictions, may expire, and may be revoked if obtained through error, abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms. If your Usage credit balance is depleted, API requests may fail, be paused, or be rate-limited until additional Usage credits are granted or purchased.
Refunds, when required by law or approved by the Company, are processed in the original payment currency through the original payment method where possible. A refund, chargeback, reversal, or failed payment may result in removal of the corresponding Usage credits. If those Usage credits have already been consumed, the balance may become negative and API access may be suspended until the balance is restored. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund, cancellation, or consumer right under applicable law.
7.5 Usage Limits and Subscription Restrictions
Access to the Service is governed by specific usage allotments, credits, or processing time limits ("Credits") associated with your selected subscription plan. Credits are allocated on a periodic basis corresponding to your billing cycle. You acknowledge and agree to the following restrictions regarding Credit usage and account management:
(a) No Early Reset: Credits are reset only upon the commencement of a new billing cycle. You are strictly prohibited from circumventing usage limits by canceling and re-subscribing to the same plan, or registering for a duplicate account with the same plan, within a single billing cycle for the purpose of resetting Credits.
(b) Depletion of Credits: In the event that you exhaust your allocated Credits prior to the end of your current billing cycle, you must either: (i) wait for the automatic renewal of the next billing cycle for Credits to replenish; or (ii) upgrade your subscription to a higher-tier plan, if available, which will immediately grant the expanded Credit allowance associated with that tier.
(c) High-Volume and Business Needs: If you are subscribed to the highest standard tier available on the Service and require additional Credits, you must contact the Company at [email protected] to convert your status to a "Business Account" or "Custom Plan." Resetting Credits outside of the standard billing cycle is a feature exclusively reserved for Business Accounts subject to a separate written agreement and fee structure.
(d) Single User License: Unless designated as a Business Account, all standard subscription plans are strictly for individual use by a single named user. You may not share account credentials with other individuals to aggregate usage or split costs. The Company reserves the right to monitor usage patterns, and any account demonstrating activity consistent with multi-user access (e.g., simultaneous logins from different locations or excessive volume inconsistent with human operation) may be suspended or terminated without refund.
7.6 Storage Plans
A Storage Plan is a recurring subscription that sets the total amount of cloud storage available to your account. It is not an amount added to your existing allowance. Your effective capacity is the greater of the storage included with your subscription plan and the capacity of your Storage Plan, plus any legacy storage add-on that is still active on your account. Only one Storage Plan may be active at a time, and buying a different one replaces it rather than adding to it. Before you pay we show your current usage and the total capacity that will apply after purchase. A Storage Plan is billed to, and its capacity belongs to, the account that pays for it.
Storage Plans are sold on monthly and annual billing cycles. Annual plans are paid in advance for a twelve-month term. A Storage Plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You may cancel at any time in the app store where you bought the plan, in your PayPal account for a plan paid through PayPal, or by writing to [email protected]. Cancellation, a change to a smaller plan, and a lapse following an unsuccessful payment all take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep the capacity you paid for until that date, and no further charge is made.
(a) Your files are not deleted. A reduction in capacity does not delete your content. If your stored content exceeds your capacity you may continue to open, download, export and delete it. Operations that would increase the amount of storage you use, including new uploads, imports and generated files, may be refused until your usage is within your capacity or you increase your capacity.
(b) Shared and published content. Content you have shared or published continues to count against the account that stored it until that content is removed through the Service's own deletion mechanisms.
(c) Availability. Storage Plans are sold on the platforms where we offer purchasing. Where purchasing is unavailable on a particular platform or store, you may still use capacity you purchased elsewhere.
(d) Price changes. We may change published prices for future periods. A price change does not affect a period you have already paid for, and we give notice of a change affecting a renewal before it takes effect.
7.7 AI Credits and Top-ups
AI credits are service usage units used to meter artificial-intelligence features. Your account has a single AI credit balance that is shared by KolWrite and KolHive; credits purchased or granted in either product are usable in both. AI credits are not legal tender, stored monetary value, gift cards, deposit accounts or cash balances, and may not be withdrawn, transferred, resold or exchanged for cash, except where applicable law requires otherwise. AI credits are distinct from the API Console "Usage credits" described in section 7.4.
A subscription plan includes an allowance of AI credits that is made available at the start of each monthly cycle, including for plans billed annually. Unused allowance credits do not carry over to the following cycle and are not refundable.
AI credits are used according to the processing each request uses, at the rates that apply to the model that handles it. If a model is unavailable and another model answers instead, the rates of the model that answered apply. If you stop a request, or it fails after the model has started working, the processing already done may still use credits. A request that is rejected before any processing starts does not use credits.
You may also purchase additional AI credits ("top-ups") separately from a subscription. Top-up credits purchased directly from us are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase and are forfeited on expiry. Top-up credits purchased through the Apple App Store do not expire, because that store's rules require it. We display the validity period that applies to your purchase before you pay, and the resulting expiry date in your account. Credits are consumed in the order that expires soonest. Promotional, trial, bonus and manually granted credits may carry additional restrictions, may expire sooner, and may be revoked if obtained through error, abuse, fraud or a violation of these Terms. AI credits purchased before the effective date of these Terms keep the expiration terms that were disclosed at the time of their purchase.
Prices displayed in Israeli new shekels (ILS) include Israeli value added tax at the rate in force, currently 18%. Prices displayed in United States dollars (USD) do not include value added tax, sales tax, goods and services tax or any similar tax; where such a tax arises under the law of your own country and we are not required to collect it, you are responsible for it. Each price list is maintained separately and is not converted from the other at an exchange rate. Refunds for a Storage Plan or a top-up purchased directly from us are governed by sections 7.1 and 7.8; a purchase made through the Apple App Store, Google Play or another app store is governed by that store's refund and restore policies and must be requested from that store. A refund, chargeback, reversal or failed payment removes the corresponding entitlement and reverses the corresponding unspent purchased credits. Nothing in this section or in section 7.6 limits any non-waivable refund, cancellation, withdrawal or consumer right you have under applicable law, including the rights of consumers in Israel under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981.
7.8 Cancellation and Withdrawal Rights
If you are a consumer, you have the cancellation and withdrawal rights that the law of your country gives you, and this section prevails over anything else in these Terms. In particular:
(a) Consumers in Israel. Under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, you may cancel a purchase you made from us online within 14 days of the purchase, or of the day you received the written details of the purchase, whichever is later. For a subscription, you may do so even if you have started using it. We will refund what you paid within 14 days of your notice, less a cancellation fee of 5% of the price or NIS 100, whichever is lower, and, if you started using a subscription, less the proportional amount for the service you received. Senior citizens, people with disabilities and new immigrants may have up to four months where the law provides it. You may also end a subscription at any time: it ends within three business days of your notice, or on a later date you choose, and you will not be charged for any period after it ends.
(b) Consumers in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. You may withdraw from a purchase you made directly from us within 14 days of the purchase, without giving a reason. If you asked us to start providing the service during that period, we may deduct a proportionate amount for what we provided before you withdrew, where the law allows it.
(c) How to cancel. Write to us at [email protected] from the email address of your Account, or cancel a PayPal subscription in your PayPal account. A purchase made through Apple or Google Play is cancelled and refunded by that store under its rules.
8. Content
8.1 Your Content
As between the parties and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you own your Input. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Company hereby assigns to you all its right, title and interest in and to the Output. Please note, however, that ownership of the Output is subject to the rights of any third parties whose content or information may have been included in the Input. By using the Service, you acknowledge that the Company does not verify or guarantee your ownership of the Input or your rights to use or distribute the Output, and that any such use is your sole responsibility. However, you may not publicly share, distribute, publish, or otherwise make the Output available to third parties (whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes) except as expressly permitted under these Terms.
8.2 Your Responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted, you are solely responsible for the Content, including for ensuring that it does not violate any applicable law, these Terms, any third-party rights, or otherwise any unethical, offensive, insulting, harmful, or abusive behavior. You represent and warrant that you own or have all the necessary rights and permissions to provide the Input and use it in the context of the Service, and that your use of the Input and any resulting Output will not infringe any rights of such third parties.
8.3 Processing of Personal Data
If you use the Service to process personal data of third parties, you must provide legally adequate privacy notices, obtain all necessary consents and comply with all the necessary obligations for the processing of such data to be lawful at all times in the context of the Service, and you represent and warrant to us that you are processing such data in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
8.4 Similarity of Output
You acknowledge and understand that, due to the nature of machine learning and generative artificial intelligence, Output may not be unique across users and KolWrite may generate the same or similar output for a third party. Other users may also ask similar questions/queries and receive the same or similar responses. Responses that are requested by and generated for other users are not considered your Content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you shall release us from any liability in relation to the foregoing.
8.5 Use of Content
Except as otherwise permitted under Section 5 (Commercial Use), you may only use the Output for your internal purposes and in accordance with these Terms. We use Content to provide, secure and support the Service. We do not use your Content to train AI models. If, in the future, we use Content to improve the Service, we will first update the Privacy Policy, we will use it only as described there, and you will be able to opt out of such use through your user settings. Such use shall not apply to any Content provided by or generated for Commercial Users, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing. Furthermore, The Company is not responsible and shall not be held liable for any claim arising from your use of the Content in any manner.
8.6 Accuracy
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are rapidly evolving fields of study. We are constantly working to improve our Service to make it more accurate, reliable, safe, and beneficial. Given the probabilistic nature of machine learning, the use of our Service may in some situations result in incorrect Output that does not accurately reflect real people, places, or facts or achieve the desired goal or purpose. You should evaluate the accuracy of any Output as appropriate for your use case, including by using human review of the Output. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be responsible or held liable for the Output or your reliance on the Output.
8.7 Meetings
KolWrite lets you hold audio and video meetings and transcribe or record them. You are responsible for telling participants when a meeting is transcribed or recorded and for getting any consent the law requires. Anyone who has a meeting link (and its password, if one is set) can join that meeting, including guests without an account; guests must follow these Terms. You may not use meetings to harass anyone or to share illegal content. Meetings are not a replacement for a telephone service and cannot be used to contact emergency services.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
9.1 Materials and Marks
The: (i) Service and the content on KolWrite, including without limitation, the Intellectual Property Rights (defined below), text, documents, articles, brochures, descriptions, products, software, graphics, photos, sounds, videos, interactive features and services, other than the Content (collectively, the "Materials"); and (ii) trademarks, service marks and logos contained therein ("Marks"), are the property of the Company and/or its licensors and may be protected by applicable copyright or other intellectual property laws and treaties. "ITANU", the Company logo, KolWrite and other marks are Marks of the Company or its affiliates. If you download or print a copy of the Materials you must retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained therein.
9.3 Feedback
We appreciate feedback, comments, ideas, proposals and suggestions for improvements. If you provide any of these things, we may implement it or use it without restrictions, obligations, or any compensation to you.

10.4 We do not endorse any advertising, promotions, campaigns, products, services or other materials that are included in any Third Party Content or that is communicated to you from a Third Party Source.
10.5 By using KolWrite you may be exposed to Third Party Content that is inaccurate, offensive, indecent or objectionable. You always have the choice of deciding whether or not to interact with a Third Party Source or to view and use Third Party Content. Your interaction with a Third Party Source and your use of, and reliance upon, any Third Party Content is at your sole discretion and risk.
10.6 You agree to waive, and hereby do waive, any legal or equitable rights or remedies you may have against the Company, and release the Company from any and all liability, arising from your use of and interaction on any Third Party Content and from your interaction with any Third Party Source. If you have any query or complaint regarding a Third Party Source or any Third Party Content, you agree to contact the Third Party Source directly.
11. Information Description
We attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, we cannot and do not warrant that the Materials available on KolWrite are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. We reserve the right to make changes in or to the Materials, or any part thereof, in our sole judgment, without the requirement of giving any notice prior to or after making such changes to the Materials. Your use of the Materials, or any part thereof, is made solely at your own risk and responsibility.
12. Disclosure
We reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information that we obtain in connection with KolWrite, and your use thereof, which we reasonably believe is necessary to: (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena or governmental request; (ii) enforce these Terms, including to investigate potential violations of them; (iii) detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; (iv) respond to user support requests; or (v) protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, its users or the public.
13. Links
13.1 KolWrite may contain links, and may enable you to post content, to third party platforms that are not owned or controlled by the Company. We are not affiliated with, have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of, any third party platforms. You: (i) are solely responsible and liable for your use of and linking to third party platforms and any content that you may send or post to a third party platform; and (ii) expressly release the Company from any and all liability arising from your use of any third party platform. Accordingly, we encourage you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of each third party platform that you may choose to visit.
13.2 The Company permits you to link to KolWrite provided that: (i) you link to but do not replicate any page on KolWrite; (ii) the hyperlink text shall accurately describe the Materials as it appears on KolWrite; (iii) you shall not misrepresent your relationship with the Company or present any false information about the Company and shall not imply in any way that we are endorsing any services or products, unless we have given you our express prior consent; (iv) you shall not link from a platform ("Third Party Platform") which prohibits linking to third parties; (v) such Third Party Platform does not contain content that (a) is offensive or controversial (both at our discretion), or (b) infringes any intellectual property, privacy rights, or other rights of any person or entity; and/or (vi) you comply with these Terms and applicable law.
14. Privacy
For information on how we use your Personal Data, please read our Privacy Policy available on KolWrite or here.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY, THE COMPANY'S TOTAL AND AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 USD OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO THE COMPANY FOR THE SERVICES DURING THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO FILING A LEGAL PROCEEDING AGAINST THE COMPANY. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE BASIS OF LIABILITY (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE) AND COVERS ALL EVENTS, THE SERVICE, AND THIS AGREEMENT.

- To create required accounting and tax records and prevent fraud
Third parties we share with: Payment processors such as PayPal, Apple and Google Play (for purchases made through their stores), tax-document and accounting providers, and professional advisers where required to complete the transaction, comply with law, prevent fraud, or maintain financial records. Your full payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
Consequences of not providing: We may be unable to offer the requested billing currency, calculate taxes, process the purchase or refund, or issue a required tax document.
When you create, record, upload, attach, share or submit content for processing through KolWrite
Data we collect:
- Audio and video recordings, and relevant extracts
- Transcript text, prompts, chat context, and selected text
- Documents, images, audio, or video that you attach
- Language and model selections, and technical request information
- Other content you provide
How we collect it: We collect this information when you record content in KolWrite, including on a watch, upload or attach a file, send media from a supported editing application, enter or submit text, select existing content for processing, or otherwise request that KolWrite process your content. We collect technical request information automatically when the feature is used.
Purpose:
- To process and return the result you request
- To store your content and keep it in sync across your devices
- To operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and support the Service
- To measure your use of credits and storage
- To prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations
- To improve KolWrite using information about how it is used, such as usage counts and error reports
Third parties we share with: Your content is stored on our servers, hosted by a contracted infrastructure provider in Germany, and with contracted file-storage service providers operating internationally. Processing that needs specialised hardware, such as speech recognition, speaker separation and video rendering, runs on GPU computers we operate ourselves in Israel or on contracted cloud GPU servers in other countries, using models we operate. AI features send the content needed for each request to the cloud-computing and AI-processing service providers described in "How AI features use your content" below. The processing locations are described in section 4. When you share content, the people you share it with receive it.
Consequences of not providing: We cannot process the request or provide the related result.
Google Calendar
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we ask Google for permission to view your calendar list and calendar properties and to view, create, update, and delete calendar events. Calendar event data can include an event title, description, date and time, location, meeting link, reminders, attendees, and calendar identifiers. We use this access only to show, sync, and perform the Google Calendar actions you request in KolWrite or KolHive. We may cache Calendar data on your device or in your KolWrite or KolHive account as needed to provide those features.
If you ask an AI feature to use Calendar information, and the applicable Calendar AI permission is enabled, relevant event content may be sent to the AI provider selected for that feature to complete your request. We do not use Google user data for advertising.
We store the Google account identity information needed to identify the connection, the permissions Google granted, and an encrypted Google refresh token. You can disconnect Google from the Integrations settings. Disconnecting removes the stored token and asks Google to revoke it. Events already created in Google Calendar, and content previously imported into or created in the product, remain until you delete them from the place where they are stored.
When you turn on speaker recognition
Data we collect:
- Voice signatures: numbers calculated from short samples of a speaker's voice in your recordings
- Face signatures: numbers calculated from a speaker's face in frames of your video recordings
- The names and pictures you give to the speakers you save
- Which speakers in your recordings match the speakers you saved
How we collect it: Speaker recognition is off until you turn it on. When it is on, the KolWrite app calculates the signatures on your device and compares the speakers in your recordings only with the speakers you saved. A signature is kept only for a person you name or save. You can name speakers yourself without turning speaker recognition on.
Purpose:
- To show who is speaking in your recordings and suggest names and pictures for them
- To keep the speakers you saved available on all your devices
We do not use voice or face signatures for any other purpose. We do not use them to train AI models, for advertising, or to recognize people for anyone else. Please save only people who agree to be recognized. Some places treat voice and face signatures as biometric data and require the person's consent; you are responsible for obtaining that consent before you save someone.
Third parties we share with: Signatures are stored encrypted on our servers and are never sent to AI providers. If you also use names with AI, KolWrite sends a few frames from the video and short parts of its transcript to the contracted AI-processing service provider for the selected model to find names that are said or shown, for example when someone introduces themselves or a name appears on screen. The AI provider is not asked to recognize anyone's face. This uses your AI credits.
Consequences of not providing: Speakers are not recognized automatically. You can still name them yourself.
When you use meetings in KolWrite
KolWrite lets you start, schedule and join audio and video meetings from your calendar. Meeting audio and video go directly between the participants' devices, encrypted. In larger meetings the device of one of the participants may pass the meeting on to the others. When a network does not allow a direct connection, the encrypted meeting may pass through a contracted network-relay service, which cannot decrypt it. We do not receive or store meeting audio or video.
Data we collect:
- Meeting details: title, scheduled time and length, settings (password, waiting room, guests) and who hosts the meeting
- Participants: the name each participant uses, whether they are signed in or a guest, their type of device, and when they join and leave
- IP addresses of participants, to connect them and to prevent abuse
- Email addresses you enter to invite people
- If meeting transcription is on: the transcript of what participants say, with their names, and, if you turn on "Save recording", a recording of the meeting
How we collect it: From you and the other participants when you use meetings. A meeting password is stored only in a coded (hashed) form.
Purpose:
- To run your meetings and let the people you invite, and guests, join
- To send the invitations you ask for and add meetings to your calendar
- To transcribe and summarize meetings when you ask
- To keep meetings secure and to prevent abuse
Meeting transcription: Transcription is on by default for meetings you host and can be turned off at any time. Everyone in the meeting sees that it is being transcribed and by whom. When the free transcription model is installed on your device, the audio is transcribed on your device and does not leave it. Otherwise, short parts of the meeting audio, including other participants' voices, are sent to our contracted cloud AI-processing service provider to create the text, as described in the third-party AI consent, and this uses your AI credits. If you ask for a summary, the transcript is sent to the AI provider of the model you select. The transcript and summary are saved in your KolWrite account; a recording is saved only if you turned on "Save recording". You are responsible for telling participants and for getting any consent the law requires before you transcribe or record a meeting.
Third parties we share with: Invitation emails you ask us to send go through our email provider and contain the meeting link. If your Google Calendar is connected, invitations can also be sent through it (see Google Calendar). Anyone who has a meeting link (and its password, if you set one) can join the meeting.
Consequences of not providing: You cannot use meetings. You can still record and transcribe on your own.
How AI features use your content
The KolWrite assistant and other AI features are AI systems, not people. AI can make mistakes, so check important information.
Your consent: Before KolWrite sends your content to third-party AI providers, it asks for your explicit consent. You can withdraw it at any time in Privacy and AI settings. Withdrawal stops future transfers to third-party AI providers and signs you out; it does not undo processing that has already taken place.
What is sent and when: When you use a cloud AI feature, KolWrite sends the content needed for that request, such as your recording or an extract of it, the relevant transcript or conversation, files you attach or select, and technical request information, to the provider that runs the AI model. It is sent only when you use the feature. Features that run on your device, such as on-device transcription, do not send your content to these providers.
Who processes it:
- Our processing infrastructure and contracted cloud-computing and AI-processing service providers run the models used for chat, transcription, summaries, translation, image generation, search within your content, and voice features.
- Max uses advanced AI models, which may hand parts of a task to other models, on contracted cloud-computing infrastructure. Max is not available in every country.
- Where a feature is configured to use a direct cloud AI API, the necessary request content is sent to that contracted AI-processing service provider.
No training on your content: We do not use your content to train AI models. Our managed cloud AI service terms restrict providers from using content to train or fine-tune AI models without our permission, or, for paid API processing, from using prompts or responses to improve their products. We have not given permission or opted into provider training.
What providers keep: These providers may keep content for a short time to run the service, including caches that speed up answers (up to 24 hours for a managed cloud AI cache), and logs to detect abuse of their services (up to 30 days for a direct cloud AI API), as their terms allow. We have not turned on optional logging of requests and answers in our managed cloud AI projects.
"Help improve KolWrite and KolHive": This setting, under Settings, Security, lets you tell us whether we may use your conversations to improve our products. We do not use conversations for this today. If we start, we will update this Privacy Policy first and will use only the conversations of people who have this setting on.
Providers you choose: If you connect your own AI provider account or API key, or use a local or command-line AI tool, the content needed for that request is sent from your device to that provider or tool, under your own agreement with it. A tool running on your device may itself communicate with external services.
AI apps you connect (optional): You can let another AI app use your KolWrite account, in two ways. On a computer, you can connect an AI app that runs on that computer (for example Claude Code, Codex or Cursor) in KolWrite's settings. Online, you can add KolWrite in an AI service such as ChatGPT or Claude and sign in to KolWrite there. Either way you choose what the app may do, and it can then read and act on your KolWrite content (such as files, notes, transcripts, share links and your credit balance) within that access. What the app reads is sent to the company that runs it, which handles it under your agreement with that company and as its own controller. That company may process it outside Israel or your country, including in countries whose data protection laws differ from yours; this transfer happens at your request, to provide the connection you asked for. We do not control those apps or companies and they are not our service providers.
Connecting an app is your choice and is not needed to use KolWrite. If you do not connect one, nothing else changes; that app simply cannot use your KolWrite content.
Data we collect: For apps connected online: the app's name, website and sign-in return addresses as the app reports them, the access you chose and whether it may spend your credits, sign-in tokens (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash), and a record of each action the app takes (which action, when, whether it worked, how long it took and any credits it spent). For apps on your computer: the app's key (stored only as a one-way hash), the access you chose and a list of its recent actions stay on that computer, except when the app uses our online features (such as your cloud files, credit balance or cloud transcription), which reach us like any request from KolWrite. Our connection records do not include the content of your files, notes or transcripts; content an app creates, edits, transcribes or imports is stored in your account as usual. If an app asks KolWrite to import a file from a web link, we fetch that link for you.
Purpose and legal basis: to provide the connection you asked for (performing our agreement with you), and to show you what each app did, prevent misuse and keep the service secure (our legitimate interests). When an app starts cloud transcription, we bill it to your account as described below.
Credits: an app can spend your credits only on cloud transcription, and only if you allowed spending for that app. Once allowed, the app may start paid transcription after we tell it the price, without asking you again, and that usage is charged to your credits. You can turn spending off at any time.
Retention: the record of an online app's actions is kept for 90 days. Sign-in tokens expire (access within an hour, renewal within 30 days), and disconnecting the app revokes them so it cannot make new requests; the connection's details are deleted within 90 days after that. On your computer, the app's record is deleted when you remove the app.
Your choice and rights: you can see and disconnect every connected app at any time in Settings, AI apps. Disconnecting stops new access; it does not remove what the app's company already received, which is governed by your agreement with that company. Your privacy rights (including, where the law gives them, to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to complain to a data protection authority) and how to contact us are described elsewhere in this policy.
When you connect your Google account
Data we collect: Depending on what you connect: your tasks, the Google Drive files you pick, and permission to send emails from your Gmail account when you ask KolWrite to send one. Connected email accounts are described under "Connected email accounts", and calendar connections under the calendar section above. We also receive the name and email address of the connected Google account and an authorization, which we store encrypted.
Purpose: To show and manage your tasks and files in KolWrite and to send the emails you ask it to send. If you let the assistant use your other Google data, such as tasks or files, the details it needs are sent to the AI providers described above to answer your request. You can turn the assistant's Google access off, or have it ask you first, under AI access in the AI settings.
Google API data: KolWrite's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use data from Google APIs for advertising, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
Third parties we share with: Google, and the AI providers described above if you let the assistant use your other Google data.
Consequences of not providing: Calendar, tasks, Drive and email features that depend on your Google account will not work. You can disconnect your Google account at any time in settings; because the account is shared, this affects both KolWrite and KolHive.
Connected email accounts
Data we collect: Depending on the permissions you grant, we access messages, recipients and other message details, and attachments from the email accounts you connect. We also receive the connected account's name and email address and store its authorization encrypted.
Purpose: To search, read and organize mail, manage drafts, send, reply to or forward messages, and move messages to or restore them from Trash, when you request these actions and grant the necessary permissions. If you allow the assistant to use your mail, the content it needs is sent to the AI providers described above to carry out your request. You control mail permissions per connected account and the assistant's mail access in AI settings. The assistant asks for your approval before sending mail or moving it to Trash.
Third parties we share with: The email service you connect and, if you allow the assistant to use your mail, the AI providers described above.
Approximate location, language and weather
We do not collect your device's precise location. To choose your language and show local weather, the App may look up your approximate location (country or city) from your IP address through public IP-geolocation services, and fetch weather forecasts for that approximate location from public weather-forecast services.
Web search and web pages
When the assistant searches the web or reads a web page for you, the search terms or the page address are sent to public search engines and websites. In the mobile and desktop apps this happens directly from your device. In the web app and the watch apps it goes through our servers, so those services see our servers rather than your device.
Error reports and performance data
Unless you turn this off, the App automatically sends error reports to our servers. They contain error messages, with personal details removed where we can detect them, and technical details such as app version and device type, and they are linked to your account. We use them to find and fix problems. For every upload or download that fails, and for a small share of those that finish (at most one in ten), the App also sends performance data: whether it was an upload or a download, what kind of transfer it was, its size, how long it took, how many tries it needed and which route it took. We add the country your request comes from. This data never includes file names, links or the content of your files. We use it to find where transfers are slow and to make them faster. We keep each record, linked to your account, for 7 days; after that only anonymous daily totals remain. You can turn all of this off under Settings, Help, Diagnostics.
Sharing with others
When you share recordings, transcripts or files, or create a public link, the people you share with, or anyone with the link, can see what you shared and the name shown with it.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we deliver them through the push-notification service providers for your device platform, using an identifier for your device.
When you interact with us on social media
Data we collect:
- Social Media Account
- Content of interaction (text, images, etc.), including metadata (for example, timestamp)
Purpose:
- To process and answer questions
- To provide support
- To review our services
- To process your feedback
Third parties we share with: The 3rd party social media platforms may have access to the data communicated.
Consequences of not providing: Cannot contact with you on social media.
Additional Uses: Some of the abovementioned Personal Data will be used for detecting, taking steps to prevent, and prosecution of fraud or other illegal activity, to identify and repair errors, to conduct audits, and for security purposes. Personal Data may also be used to comply with applicable laws, with investigations performed by the relevant authorities, law enforcement purposes, and/or to exercise or defend legal claims. In certain cases, we may anonymize or de-identify your Personal Data, so that it no longer identifies you, and further use it for internal purposes, including, without limitation, to improve the services and for research purposes.
"Anonymous Information" means information which does not enable identification of an individual user, such as aggregated information about the use of our services.
Legal bases (European Economic Area and United Kingdom): Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we process your Personal Data because it is necessary to provide KolWrite under our Terms of Use (account, content, features you request, sync, purchases and support); because of our legitimate interests in keeping KolWrite secure, preventing misuse, fixing errors and understanding how KolWrite is used (you can object to this); because the law requires it (tax, accounting and legal requests); or with your consent (sending content to third-party AI providers, marketing emails, notifications, and other optional features that ask for it). You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that has already taken place. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
2. HOW WE PROTECT AND RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION
2.1. Security
We have implemented appropriate technical, organizational and security measures designed to protect your Personal Data, including:
- KolWrite connects to our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
- Files you store are kept in contracted cloud file storage that encrypts stored files with AES-256. Connected Google account authorizations and synced voice signatures are also encrypted in our database.
- Your password is handled by our contracted authentication service, and full payment-card details by PayPal, Apple or Google. Neither is stored on our servers.
- You can lock the App on your device with your device's biometrics or a code.
However, please note that we cannot guarantee that the information will not be compromised as a result of unauthorized penetration to our servers. As the security of information depends in part on the security of the computer, device or network you use to communicate with us and the security you use to protect your user IDs and passwords, please make sure to take appropriate measures to protect this information. If a security incident affects your Personal Data, we will notify you and the authorities where the law requires it.
2.2. Retention of your Personal Data
We keep Personal Data only as long as we need it for the purposes in this Privacy Policy:
- Account information: while your account exists.
- Your content (recordings, transcripts, files and documents): until you delete it or your account.
- Chats with the assistant: until you delete the chat or your account. When you delete a chat, the text of its messages is erased from our servers, normally at once (if that fails, a later automatic run erases it, normally within six hours), and its attachments are scheduled for deletion. We keep only technical details, such as message identifiers, times, the model used and token counts.
- Records of AI requests (the answers our servers streamed to the App and the technical records needed to continue a conversation and settle its cost): deleted 30 days after the request ends. When you delete a chat, the records of its finished requests are deleted at the same time.
- Usage records (which model was used, token counts and credits, without the content of your requests): while your account exists.
- Purchase records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require, including after you delete your account.
- Error reports and technical logs: 7 to 90 days, depending on how serious the error is.
- Upload and download performance records: 7 days, then only anonymous daily totals are kept.
- Voice and face signatures of a saved speaker: Voice and face signatures of a saved speaker are kept until you delete that speaker or their saved voice or face, or delete your account. Turning speaker recognition off stops new recognition but does not delete signatures you saved.
- Meetings: Meeting records (title, time and participants) are deleted from our servers 30 days after the meeting ends. Meeting transcripts, summaries and recordings stay in your account until you delete them.
- Age band: until a newer band from the same source replaces it or you delete your account; a band older than one year is no longer used.
- Support requests: as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of it.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of your consent and unsubscription.
- Records of your acceptance of our Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy, and of your choice about third-party AI processing: also after you delete your account, as long as we may need them to show what was agreed.
Deleted data may remain in backup copies until those copies are replaced or deleted. In some circumstances we may store your Personal Data for longer periods of time, for example:
- (i) where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, regulatory, tax or accounting requirements
- (ii) for us to have an accurate record of your dealings with us in the event of any complaints or challenges
- (iii) if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation relating to your Personal Data or dealings
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
In addition to the recipients described above, we may share your Personal Data as follows:
- 3.1. With service providers that process Personal Data on our behalf, such as the hosting, storage, authentication, AI, email, network-relay, notification, security, analytics and payment service providers described in this Privacy Policy. We require them to use it only to provide their services to us and to protect it with the same or equal level of protection as described in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable law. Your account password and the card details you use to pay us do not reach our servers, so they are never sent to our cloud GPU or AI-processing service providers. We may also share Personal Data with our affiliated companies on the same terms.
- 3.2. To the extent necessary, with regulators, courts or competent authorities, to comply with applicable laws, regulations and rules (including, without limitation, federal, state or local laws), and requests of law enforcement, regulatory and other governmental agencies or if required to do so by court order.
- 3.3. If, in the future, we sell or transfer, or we consider selling or transferring, some or all of our business, shares or assets to a third party, we will disclose your Personal Data to such third party (whether actual or potential) in connection with the foregoing events.
- 3.4. In the event that we are acquired by, or merged with, a third party entity, or in the event of bankruptcy or a comparable event, we reserve the right to transfer, disclose or assign your Personal Data in connection with the foregoing events.
- 3.5. Where you have provided your consent to us sharing or transferring your Personal Data (e.g., where you provide us with marketing consents or opt-in to optional additional services or functionality), or where you ask us to, for example by sharing content with other people.
We do not sell your Personal Data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing.
AI apps you choose: when you connect an AI app, the content it reads is sent to that app's company at your request. We do not sell or share it for advertising, and that company is not our service provider.
3.6. If you want to receive the list of the current recipients of your Personal Data, please make your request by contacting us to [email protected].
4. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA
4.1. We are based in Israel. We and our service providers store and process Personal Data in several countries. Our main servers are in Germany, and the GPU computers we operate ourselves are in Israel. Contracted cloud-storage and content-delivery providers store files and deliver our Websites through global networks. Our managed cloud AI processing uses a global endpoint, which can route a request to any region where capacity is available. Contracted cloud GPU servers may be located in different countries. Some of our hosting, storage, authentication, AI, email, network-connection, notification, security and analytics service providers are based in the United States and process data internationally. You may request the current recipients of your Personal Data and information about their processing locations under section 3.6.
4.2. The European Commission recognizes Israel as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data. When Personal Data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is transferred to a country that does not have such recognition, we rely on safeguards provided by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses included in our providers' data processing terms, or a provider's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us about these safeguards at [email protected].
5. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS. HOW TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
5.1. Rights
5.1.1. Depending on the law that applies to you, you have some or all of the following rights:
- a. You have a right to access Personal Data held about you. Your right of access may normally be exercised free of charge, however we reserve the right to charge an appropriate administrative fee where permitted by applicable law.
- b. You have the right to request that we rectify or erase any Personal Data we hold that is inaccurate or misleading.
- c. You have the right to ask us to delete your Personal Data, to restrict how we use it, or to object to our use of it, including for direct marketing.
- d. You have the right to receive Personal Data you gave us in a portable format.
- e. Where we rely on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time.
- f. You have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the Privacy Protection Authority in Israel or the authority where you live or work in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
5.2. You can exercise your rights by contacting us at [email protected]. You can also view, change and delete much of your Personal Data yourself in the App. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf if you provide the authorized agent written permission signed by you. Subject to legal and other permissible considerations, we will make every reasonable effort to honor your request promptly in accordance with applicable law, and in any case within one month unless the law allows a longer period, or inform you if we require further information in order to fulfil your request.
When processing your request, we may ask you for additional information to confirm or verify your identity and for security purposes, before processing and/or honoring your request. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
5.3. Deleting your account: You can delete your account in the App under Settings, Security, Delete account, or by emailing [email protected] from the email address of your account. Deleting your account deletes the shared account for both KolWrite and KolHive, including your recordings, transcripts, files, chats, AI data and settings stored in the cloud, and signs you out on every device. We keep only the records described in section 2.2 that the law requires or that we need to show what was agreed and what was paid. Copies that other people saved, and content in spaces that belong to other people, are not deleted from their accounts. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought through Apple or Google Play; cancel it in the settings of your store account.
5.4. Marketing emails – opt-out: You may choose not to receive marketing email of this type by sending a single email with the subject "BLOCK" to [email protected]. Please note that the email must come from the email account you wish to block OR if you receive an unwanted email from us, you can use the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of the email to opt out of receiving future emails, and we will process your request within a reasonable time after receipt.
6. CHILDREN AND TEENS
KolWrite is not intended for children under thirteen (13) years old, or under the higher minimum age that applies where they live, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from them. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data from such a child without the consent the law requires, we will delete it and may close the account. A parent or guardian who believes this has happened can contact us at the address in the "Contact us" section. People aged 13 to 17 may use KolWrite with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Age range from your device. On Apple devices the app may ask Apple's Declared Age Range, and on Android devices installed from Google Play it may ask Google Play Age Signals, for your age range. The platform shows its own prompt, and you or your guardian can decline. We receive and store only an age band (under 13, 13–15, 16–17 or 18 and over), its source and when it was reported — never your birth date or exact age. We use it only to make the features available on your account appropriate for your age and to meet our legal obligations. We do not share it, and we keep it until a newer band from the same source replaces it or you delete your account; a band older than one year is no longer used.
7. INTERACTION WITH THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS
We enable you to interact with third party websites, mobile software applications and products or services that are not owned or controlled by us (each a "Third Party Service"). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Third Party Services. Please be aware that Third Party Services can collect Personal Data from you. Accordingly, we encourage you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of each Third Party Service.
8. ANALYTIC TOOLS
The KolWrite mobile, desktop and watch apps do not contain advertising trackers or third-party analytics tools. The App sends the error reports and upload and download performance data described in section 1, and our servers keep the technical logs needed to run KolWrite and keep it secure.
Website analytics
Our Websites and the KolWrite web app use a contracted website analytics service to count visits and measure how fast our pages load. It does not use cookies. The service operates internationally as described in section 4. You may request its identity and information about its processing locations under section 3.6.
Google Analytics
The legacy KolWrite web app at web.kolwrite.com uses a tool called "Google Analytics" to collect information about use of that app, such as how often users visit, what pages they visit, and what other websites they used before. We use this information to maintain and improve our products. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with Personal Information we collect.
Google's ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy. You may learn more about how Google collects and processes data specifically in connection with Google Analytics at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.
You may prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.
Log Files
We use log files to administer KolWrite, keep it secure, and find and fix problems.
Note: We reserve the right to remove or add new analytic tools. We will update this Privacy Policy before we add one.

Please be aware that after removal you may not be able to restore removed content. In addition, such removal does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or Personal Information you have posted and that there may be circumstances in which the law does not require us to enable removal of content.
