Runs in your browser.
This works on your computer today with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other apps that support MCP over HTTP.
Turn on AI apps in the KolWrite desktop app and connect the one you use. It stays off until you turn it on, and it only works on that computer.
Have your AI app find a recording, read the transcript, and answer questions from it.
Let it fix a word, turn a meeting into a note, and sort recordings into folders.
It runs a cloud transcription using your credits and sends back a link to the result.
Open KolWrite settings on your computer, turn on AI apps, and click Connect an app. Support for ChatGPT and Claude.ai is coming.
Check which AI company receives the data your app reads, pick ask first or full control, and approve it once.
Just ask in your own words, like “Transcribe the recording called Monday call and send me a share link.”
KolWrite shows the cost before starting. The finished transcript goes into your KolWrite account so you can read and edit it.
You can also run everything KolWrite does with a recording through our API. Send the address of an audio or video file from your own code or an AI coding agent, and you'll get back the transcript with word timings, speaker labels, and an SRT file if you request one.
The JSON output gives you the start and end time for every segment, plus individual word timings on models that support alignment. Turn on speaker separation to include a speaker label on each segment.
Pass output_format as srt if you want subtitles directly from the API. If you are using the Oracle models, you can also set translate_to to get the text back in another language.
The API console publishes plain-text instructions for an agent to read before writing code. This includes agent-instructions.md, along with llms.txt, which links to the full reference.
Not yet. Right now, you can do this through the KolWrite desktop app using computer AI apps like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
Yes, locally. The KolWrite desktop app includes an HTTP MCP server that only your computer can reach. It stays off until you turn it on in Settings.
On your computer, it works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, VS Code, and any other app that supports MCP over HTTP.
You do not pay KolWrite to connect an AI app, though your AI app has its own plan and pricing. Cloud transcription runs on your own KOL credits. We show you the price beforehand, and nothing starts if your balance is too low.
Nothing connects without your approval, and you approve each app once. KolWrite shows you the name of the AI company before you connect, since anything your AI app reads goes to that company under its own terms. By default, the app has to ask before deleting, sharing, or spending credits. You can remove an app whenever you like.
Not yet. The computer connection doesn't work on phones.
Yes. Connecting an AI app to KolWrite needs a Plus plan or higher. Your AI app has its own plan and price, and cloud transcription uses your own KOL credits.
Transcribe a recording in KolWrite, hook up your AI app, and start asking questions about the transcript.
