Is this a certified court transcript?
No. KolWrite produces a working transcript for review, search and preparation. A certified or official record — the kind filed with a court or relied on as the authoritative transcript — is produced under the rules of your jurisdiction, usually by a licensed reporter or approved transcriber. Many firms use both: the working transcript immediately, the certified record when the process completes.
How does it handle several speakers in a deposition?
Speaker separation splits the recording into distinct voices with timestamps, so examiner, witness and counsel appear as separate turns. Heavy crosstalk, people talking over each other and poor microphone placement are genuinely hard for any system, which is why every line stays playable against the audio for verification.
Can I check a passage against the original recording?
